Why We Built This

We believe goals without consequences are just wishes. And rewards without effort are just indulgence.

Gridmaster was born from a simple frustration: setting goals is easy, but following through is damn hard. Most goal-tracking apps are isolated glorified to-do lists, they remind you what you should do, but they don’t create real accountability or make the process enjoyable.

We wanted a system that connects effort to outcome. Where progress is ideally automatic, not self-reported. Where completing a challenge actually unlocks something meaningful, not just a digital badge, but a reward you genuinely care about.

The Core Philosophy

Automate tracking wherever possible. Wearables (WHOOP) are the perfect hub for this. Workouts, sleep, recovery, strain, and journal habits sync automatically. No manual logging and one source of truth.

Re-think goals and rewards. You set the goal, you set the deadline, you set the reward. Hit it? Claim it. Miss it? You don’t. That tension between wanting the reward and needing to earn it is what drives consistency. Rewards don’t need to be monetary.

But here’s what makes it fun: doing it with others. Whether it’s your training partner, your spouse, your business partner, or a group of friends, shared grids turn accountability into friendly competition. You’re not isolated chasing personal goals anymore, you’re racing, comparing, and celebrating wins together.

And we’re just getting started. WHOOP is the foundation, but the vision is bigger. We’re building integrations with Shopify to track business revenue goals, Stripe for financial milestones, and beyond.
